A collaborative effort for North American rail

Railcars typically stay in service for half a century. Greenbrier CEO & President Lorie Tekorius emphasized this longevity. Meanwhile, she noted that the asset will remain on the tracks for decades. “This project demonstrates the strength of Greenbrier’s longstanding partnership with TTX and our shared commitment to supporting the North American economy. The North American integrated rail network is the circulatory system that keeps goods moving efficiently and reliably, and we are proud to continue this important work. Freight railcars can remain in service for up to 50 years, meaning this American‑flag boxcar will travel across America’s rail network for decades to come. It serves as a visual reminder of the vitality of the rails as America moves toward its third century, thanks to the people who keep it running every hour of every day,” Tekorius said.

Federal and local representatives attended to acknowledge industrial capacity. For example, guests included FRA Administrator David Fink and Representative Helen Kerwin. Separately, Cleburne Mayor Pro Tem Blake Jones joined the ceremony. These officials met with veterans to highlight the connection between rail and infrastructure.

This unit enters service in 2026. It will travel across the North American rail network. Still, its presence acts as a tribute to railroads. This connection links communities and facilitates trade across the continent.
