UZ overhauled 57 locomotives in 2022

During a press conference on January 26, Alexander Kamyshin, Chairman of the Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, said that enterprises of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia had overhauled 57 locomotives in 2022. Railway Supply magazine writes about this with reference to Rail.insider. In addition, 3406 current repairs were completed.
“We keep a reserve and repair locomotives in such a way that we would not have a deficit with the growth in traffic volumes,” said Alexander Kamyshin. Answering journalists’ questions, he also added that the company is fully provided with traction. “Provided with traction completely. There is no problem,” stressed the chairman of the board of UZ.

As previously reported, the head of UZ does not see the need to involve locomotives of EU companies in transportation in Ukraine.
