JSC Uzbekiston Temir Yullari (Uzbekistan Railways) has purchased two track tamping machines DUOMATIC 08-32 produced by the Austrian company Plasser & Theurer, reports railway magazine «Railway Supply» referring website of JSC Uzbekistan Temir Yullari.

The renewal of equipment for the track facilities of the Uzbekistan Railways is taking place within the framework of the project “Electrification of the Pap – Namangan – Andijan railway line”, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-3336 dated October 17, 2017.

The new technology will ensure the stability of the track on straight and curved rail sections, which will make it possible to organize the smooth movement of trains. The main task of the technique is to level, raise the railway track and compact the layer under the sleepers. Geometric parameters of the road are measured using a special device on the front of the car. The result is analyzed automatically and sends the data to the host computer of the machine and the mechanism starts its work. This technique is capable of fixing about 3000 sleepers per hour, – says Muslim Ortikbaev, Deputy Head of the Road Administration.

The length of Uzbekistan’s railways has reached 7500 kilometers. The number of freight and passenger trains is increasing; in 2020 railway servicemen of the track service of JSC “Uzbekiston Temir Yullari” overhauled 250 km of railway tracks, and also carried out medium and lifting repairs of 170 km of railway tracks.
