Odessa seaport is reconstructing railway tracks. Works began in the middle of this year. The initiator is the port operator Novolog, which is developing its business. At the beginning of December, 60% of the restoration work has already been completed, as railway magazine «Railway Supply» reports referring information service Ports of Ukraine.
The first stage will be the restoration of railway tracks at berths No. 9-10, which will additionally put up to 26 railway cars for unloading.
At present, the financing of the project, the delivery of materials and the actual construction are carried out on schedule, and there is reason to believe that by the end of this year, new unloading fronts will be put into operation, ”said the head of the port administration Ruslan Sakhautdinov.
Stevedoring company Novolog LLC, a leading stevedoring company in the Black Sea ports, has been operating on the territory of the Odessa Sea Trade Port since August 1993. It operates berths No. 9, 10, 12, 13. The total length of the berth line is 670 m, maximum draft is up to 12 m.
