Six months after the approval of the list at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, more than 900 objects of commercial property in Ukraine belonging to the Russian government and state-owned companies of the aggressor country have not been forcibly seized. This is reported by the analyst group Trap Aggressor (project of the nongovernmental organization StateWatch) with reference to the reply of the Ministry of Economy.

We are talking about corporate rights to 79 companies and movable property: 8 aircraft, 11 ships, 552 units of rolling stock of Russian Railways (gondola cars, cars, platforms, tractors, etc.), 58 cars, 18 buses and trucks, components for aircraft, cars, trailers, gas structures.

Freight traffic to remain stable during Chinese New Year

On August 5, 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a draft presidential decree on the seizure of 903 objects belonging to the Russian Federation and its residents. According to the Scheme program, the document was further submitted to the National Security and Defense Council, but was returned back to the Ministry of Economy for revision. Since then, no decision on the withdrawal has been made.

Analysts emphasize that according to the law “On the State Budget of Ukraine,” the funds received from the seizure of Russian property should be attributed to the Fund for the liquidation of the consequences of armed aggression. And then directed to the construction and reconstruction of public buildings, critical infrastructure, health facilities, the purchase of housing for IDPs and people who lost their homes as a result of Russian aggression.
