He is convinced that Ukrainians must learn to respect themselves as a country, respect Ukrainian manufacturers, workers and engineers. And the adoption of the document is just a manifestation of such self-respect, reports Railway Supply magazine, citing Railinsider.

Also, the Deputy said that now Ukrainian enterprises are able to localize the production of locomotives up to 55%. Therefore, the fulfillment of this contract is not a limit for Ukrainian producers.

As a reminder, on May 13, 2021, representatives of the Governments of the French Republic and Ukraine signed a framework agreement on the implementation of a project to update the fleet of freight electric locomotives of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC. In turn, Alstom announced that they are ready to increase the level of localization in the contract for the supply of electric locomotives in Ukraine to 35%.

Earlier, Dmitry Kisilevsky announced that the French company Alstom plans to supply locomotives made in Kazakhstan to Ukraine.
