The Administration of the Sea Ports of Ukraine reported that the workload of the ports of Ukraine within the framework of the “grain initiative” does not exceed 30-35%. As a result, about 15 million tons of food products were underexported, Railway Supply reports, citing the CFTS.

“Now we are seeing a reduction in the queue from 150 ships to 90 for entry and exit. Of course, this indicator of” queue reduction “is the result of synergy between business and the state, but this cannot satisfy the demand of ports and terminals, which is about 40 ships per day,” – said in the message.

The main problem of the formation of a queue of ships remains the destructive position of Russia in passing inspections at the Joint Coordination Center. The Russian side continues to systematically and unreasonably hamper the inspection of ships and their registration for participation in the “grain initiative”. Every day, an average of 5-6 inspections out of 10 scheduled are carried out.

Thus, in March, it was approved by all parties to carry out 303 inspections, but only 168 took place.

“All this leads to weekly or even monthly demurrage of vessels in the territorial waters of Turkey. As a result, the workload of Ukrainian ports has fallen to 30-35%, almost 15 million tons of food cargo has not been exported, cargo owners and Ukrainian farmers suffer significant losses, and needy countries of the world do not receive urgently needed Ukrainian grain on time,” summed up the USPA.
