The first container train arrived in Azerbaijan from the Kazakh terminal in Sian

A ceremony was held in Azerbaijan at the railway station “Apsheron” for the arrival of a container train sent from the territory of the new Kazakh transport and logistics center in Sian via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
On February 28, 2024, the Kazakh terminal was opened in Sian, and the first container train on the route “China-Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan” was launched.
Earlier, we reported that more than 3,000 container trains are planned to be sent from China in transit through Kazakhstan.
