Oleksandr Batrak is the founder, publisher and editor-in-chief of Railway Supply, an English-language industry publication covering rail transport and the global railway market.

He founded Railway Supply in 2016 and has led the publication since its launch. Railway Supply reports on rolling stock, railway infrastructure, technologies, maintenance, logistics, industry suppliers and major rail projects for a professional international audience.

Batrak is also the founder, owner and director of PP PROM-ALLIANCE, the company that owns and publishes Railway Supply. His professional work brings together railway journalism, industry publishing and cooperation with manufacturers, suppliers, operators, infrastructure companies and other organisations across the railway sector.

His experience includes publishing Railway Supply magazines, covering international railway markets, and attending and participating in major railway exhibitions.

Batrak also heads the UKRAINE: RAILWAY SUPPLY project, which was created to present Ukrainian railway manufacturers and their products to an international professional audience.

One of the project’s major milestones was the consolidated UKRAINE: RAILWAY SUPPLY stand at InnoTrans 2018 in Berlin. It was the first time in more than 20 years of InnoTrans that Ukrainian manufacturers were represented at the exhibition through a joint national stand. The project brought together 15 Ukrainian manufacturers and attracted more than 800 industry professionals and business representatives from 25 countries.

As editor-in-chief, Batrak defines the editorial direction of Railway Supply and focuses on accurate, clearly sourced reporting about companies, technologies, markets and infrastructure projects shaping the international railway industry.
