Stadler provided Kharkiv with a tram for testing
10.09.2021
The Swiss company Stadler provided Kharkiv with a three-section tram for operational testing.

This was reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply.
“The tram is equipped with all the necessary systems for movement and comfortable transportation of passengers. But first we have to conduct operational tests, i.e. to acquaint the technical staff with the design features of the car, to understand how these trams are suitable for our tram tracks, how we can service this equipment in terms of the capabilities of our depots. In fact, this is the first step in our cooperation, and let’s see what it will turn out to be. It is possible that the issue of purchasing such trams will be considered”, commented Dmytro Lypovy, director of the Kharkiv KP “Trolleybus Depot №2”.

A tram of the Metelitsa family, produced in Belarus at the Stadler Minsk plant, was provided for testing. Such trams were delivered to Russia (St. Petersburg) and Bolivia.
