Saratoga Springs Station Improvements Move Ahead
13.05.2026
Saratoga Springs Station improvements are moving ahead in New York. Amtrak says the station is served daily by the Adirondack and Ethan Allen Express. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Saratoga Springs Station improvements move into construction work
The project has now moved into demolition and track-related work. Amtrak described that stage as the biggest step reached so far.
Also, Progressive Railroading reported that the station handled nearly 38,000 riders in fiscal year 2025. The scope includes a new 600-foot level-boarding platform with an integrated snow melt system. In addition, it covers LED light fixtures on the platform. It also covers updated station and wayfinding signage. Separately, the ticket counter will receive a new microphone and speaker system. Together, it covers the platform area, passenger information, and station communication points.
The work is scheduled for completion in summer 2027. Also, the Federal Railroad Administration has provided $12.5 million for the project.
Amtrak ADA Stations Program supports accessibility work
“These improvements support [our] goals to enhance the customer experience, make travel for families easier, and bring greater integrated and comprehensive accessibility to our stations all across the country,” said Amtrak Vice President and Chief Accessibility Officer David Handera.
Meanwhile, Amtrak said its ADA Stations Program is advancing 134 station designs. It is also advancing more than 100 station construction projects. The program is part of the company’s ongoing objective to improve accessibility at stations by 2029.
