Ukrzaliznytsia repaired 116 locomotives at its factories last year

Ukrzaliznytsia modernized and overhauled 116 locomotives out of 2022 units of the working fleet at its locomotive repair plants in 2020, infroms Railway Supply magazine referrring to the press center of Ukrzaliznytsia.

In total, the inventory park of Ukrzaliznytsia has more than 3500 locomotives. “The company has a sufficient number of traction rolling stock in reserve, which can be used in case of an increase in the volume of operational work,” the press center reports.

This year the company plans to repair 313 locomotives at the factory: 160 freight (136 electric and 24 diesel locomotives), 41 passenger and 112 shunting. This requires about UAH 4 billion.
