“Specialists of KP «Kyivpastrans» have repaired the railway tracks on the route of tram №28 from the metro station «Lesnaya» to Miloslavskaya street. Now new modern trams can also use this route. In particular, two new PESA trams will start on the route tomorrow. Since the Borschagovskaya line of the high-speed tram is equipped with a sufficient amount of new rolling stock, it is now possible to send new trams to the left bank. Therefore, they decided to send two PESA trams here, on the twenty-eighth route. The tram cars are modern and comfortable – low-floor, meet all inclusiveness requirements, ” said Vitali Klitschko.

Today KP «Kyivpastrans» operates railway rolling stock, which is more than 30 years old. In general, 80% of the rolling stock needs to be updated, as railway magazine Railway Supply reports, citing the website of the Kiev City Council.

“It should be noted that over the past 5 years, Kyivpastrans has received 49 new PESA trams. And also ten Electron trams and six Tatra-Yug trams, ” Vitali Klitschko reminded.
