On June 8, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Taras Kachka took part in an online meeting with Ms. Maeve Rute, Deputy Director General of the Directorate General of the European Commission “Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs” (DG GROW).

Industrial Visa Waiver for Ukraine

By the end of 2021, meetings of the working groups on industry and technical barriers to trade will be held. The working group on SME issues will be held in a more expanded format, with the participation of the newly created State Institution “Office for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Export”, reports the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

“We are grateful to our European partners for the systematic support of Ukraine on the way to Industrial Visa Waiver”. We will soon be able to move on to the second phase of the formal assessment. I hope that our dialogue on the development of these areas will continue, ”said Taras Kachka. Note that the Ukrainian government hopes that this year Ukraine will agree on an “Industrial Visa Waiver” with the European Union.

Reference: Industrial Visa Waiver is the Conformity Assessment and Admission Agreement for Industrial Products (ACAA). The signing would allow Ukraine to trade industrial products with the EU on the same terms as the EU countries trade with each other.
