For the second time UZ extended the deadline for submitting proposals for a tender for the purchase of 80 electric trains. Initially, likely participants could submit proposals until November 1.

Then, due to the appeal of the participants, UZ extended the period until December 1. The new deadline is December 22nd. The railway magazine Railway Supply reports about this with reference to ProZorro.

UZ substantiated the price of the tender for the purchase of 80 passenger trains

Note that some participants ask UZ to extend the deadline for accepting proposals until the end of January 2022, because the New Year holiday season is coming.

The UZ replied that they were not against it, but so far there is no information in the system about the postponement of the deadline to the end of January.

As a reminder, on October 1, Ukrzaliznytsia announced a tender for the purchase of 80 electric trains for an approximate amount of UAH 31.462 billion.

It is planned to purchase: – 30 suburban electric trains of direct current; – 30 commuter trains of alternating current; – 20 regional AC trains. The cars must be equipped with: – ergonomic chairs; – USB ports; – monitors; – Internet equipment.
