RegioJet has sold more than 50,000 train tickets to rail service between the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary with Croatia’s tourist destinations Split and Rijeka, informs Railway Supply magazine citing Nakolei Pl.

Last year, RegioJet trains in Croatia carried over 60,000 passengers per season. This year, the carrier has already sold almost the same number of tickets, and it is estimated that by the end of the season (by September 27) more than 100 thousand passengers will be transported.

The share of online train ticket sales has increased in Ukraine

About 75% of all passengers carried so far have embarked or disembarked in the Czech Republic, and 25% in Slovakia and Hungary. About 1/3 of passengers in Split, Rijeka and Ogulin transfer to RegioJetu buses, which connect the entire Adriatic coast.

As a reminder, RegioJet has decided to strengthen its ties with Croatia in recent days. This is due to the fact that the carrier has sold 100% of tickets to Split two weeks in advance.

This year the RegioJet train from Prague to Split is currently the longest railway service in the European Union (1559 km).
