Indian manufacturing company RITES will supply 200 passenger coaches to Bangladesh, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The contract is valued at 9.1 billion rupees ($109.8 million) and was awarded following a tender process.

The procurement will be financed by the European Investment Bank.

All coaches for the 1676 mm gauge with stainless steel bodies are to be manufactured within three years.
