EVRAZ orders additional locomotives from STM
STM and (EVRAZ ZSMK) signed a contract for the supply of four shunting diesel locomotives of the TEM14 and TEM10 series.
Deliveries of diesel locomotives are expected to begin in 2022. It is planned to deliver two TEM14 diesel locomotives in the first quarter, and two TEM10 locomotives in the second quarter of 2022.
Four shunting diesel locomotives are intended to be included in the production chain of the enterprise for the transportation of raw materials and finished products.
The machines will operate at a plant in Novokuznetsk.
STM diesel locomotives are already operating at different sites of EVRAZ. This year, the companies signed contracts for the supply of locomotives and the provision of services in the amount of 1.3 billion rubles (17.7 million US dollars).
In 2021, STM manufactured and delivered four TEM14 heavy shunting diesel locomotives to EVRAZ, and two more vehicles are expected to be shipped in the near future.
Since 2007, STM has been supplying subsidiaries of the EVRAZ mining conglomerate with a wide range of equipment, including 4 TGM6D locomotives and one TEM9 shunting locomotive.
