The CRTM 3000 (Critical Rail Temperature Monitor 3000) monitors rail temperature. It has been designed with ease of installation (seconds) and safety in mind. The sensors are magnetically attached to the track, so installation is simple and fast. Designated people who need to monitor real-time track temperature, can monitor the CRTM 3000 remotely. The energy consumption is very low. The sensor remains active for up to 5 years on the internal battery.

When temperatures reach the installed thresholds, users receive push- or sms-notifications. This system is an alternative to the current methods of temperature monitoring, whereby rail workers have to enter the track.

SPECIFICATIONS

  • The CRTM 3000 consists of a gateway and two nodes, with the option to expand the number of nodes (please contact Dual Inventive for more information)
  • The CRTM 3000 nodes measure temperatures between -25°C and +70°C to an accuracy of 1°C
  • The CRTM 3000 node measures the temperature with two sensors and displays both temperatures through MTinfo 3000
  • The CRTM 3000 can be installed in all weather conditions
  • The maximum communication distance between the CRTM 3000 gateway and nodes is approximately 70 metres (dependent upon conditions)
  • The CRTM 3000 gateway uses a wireless 2G connection to MTinfo 3000
  • The CRTM 3000 gateway can be powered by either an external battery or a 230V mains power supply. The nodes have a built in power supply
  • The CRTM 3000 sensors detect the connection to a rail and communicate this
