The Berlin subway network comprises approximately 150 kilometers of lines, about 400 kilometers of tracks, and transports around 1.5 million passengers per day.
In the future, the rail inspection vehicle will be used for accurate and comprehensive registration and assessment of the rail condition throughout the underground network to confirm operational safety. It will also serve as a basis for planning corrective and preventative maintenance actions for the rails.
The vehicle will be equipped with an ultrasonic control system to detect and evaluate fractures, cracks, and other internal irregularities in the rails. It will also feature an eddy current system for assessing surface cracks, as well as a system for measuring longitudinal and transverse profile geometry, track, and a video control system to detect defects in sleepers or rail fastenings.
Goldschmidt Group is a leading provider of measurement and testing solutions, offering measurement and testing devices for various applications. Modern technologies ensure precise measurement and testing results in a unified format, enhancing safety and quality in applications such as portable devices, trolleys, railcars, railway vehicles, or inspection trains.
