Brightline Cuts SoFlo Fares to $15 on Weekends
16.08.2026
USA: Brightline is offering $15 one-way SMART fares between its five South Florida stations on weekends — the latest move in a fare strategy the operator has leaned on for months to keep short-haul ridership growing.

The offer, listed on Brightline’s website, applies to Saturday and Sunday off-peak SMART trains between Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach. Tickets must be booked at least two hours in advance and purchased by Oct. 31 for travel completed by Nov. 1, 2026. The offer does not apply to Orlando service and cannot be combined with other promotions.

Part of a wider pricing pattern
This isn’t Brightline’s first discount push on the Miami–West Palm Beach corridor. Railway Supply previously reported that the company cut short-haul fares by 20% and marketed similar $15 weekend and $12 West Palm Beach–Boca Raton fares as part of an early-October strategy reset, even as it raised prices on the longer, more profitable Orlando route. That shift came alongside mounting scrutiny of Brightline’s debt load ahead of major interest payments, with the company adding low-cost SMART-class cars faster than higher-margin Premium seating.
The announcement does not specify total capacity available at the $15 fare tier, or whether Brightline plans to extend the offer past Nov. 1 if ridership responds as it did during earlier discount periods.
