Ukrzaliznytsia announced the start of purchasing 70 railcars for daytime traffic.

The company is currently finalizing the technical requirements for the seated type cars and a corresponding tender will be announced in the near future, informs Railway Supply magazine.

As a reminder, on December 31, the Passenger Company branch announced a tender for the purchase of 30 second-class carriages for a billion hryvnia.

KVSZ will participate in UZ tender for the purchase of 80 electric trains

The auction is scheduled for March 10, and bids can be submitted until February 2. The railcars should arrive at UZ by the end of 2023.

Earlier the Verkhovna Rada adopted a budget, which provides for the purchase of new railcars for UAH 3.5 billion. It is also worth noting that in 2021, the budget of Ukraine provided UAH 3 billion for the renewal of rolling stock for passenger traffic.
