Union Pacific rail carrier of the year in Mode Global awards

Union Pacific rail carrier of the year was the title Mode Global gave the railroad. It was for 2025. It went to Union Pacific Railroad. Mode Global is a Dallas-based third-party logistics firm. Last week, Progressive Railroading reported the award.

The recognition came through the annual Mode Global Carrier of the Year Awards. Also, the company says the awards recognize carrier contributions. In addition, it says they reflect the relationships it has established with its carriers.

According to MODE Global’s award announcement, the awards are based on performance criteria. For example, those criteria include commitment to service quality and technological capabilities. In addition, they include customer service excellence. At the same time, they include volume and revenue growth with Mode Global. Meanwhile, partnership criteria include collaboration, communication, and competitive enablement.

Mode Global Chief Operating Officer Normand Frigon said, “2025 was another challenging year for our industry. Even so, our carrier partners continued to step up and meet the challenges head-on, delivering top notch customer service and adding value to supply chains,”

Still, the awards also covered other carrier categories. Separately, the other carrier award recipients for 2025 were:

• One Nation Trans Inc., Regional Truckload Carrier of the Year;

• Southeastern Freight Lines Inc., Regional LTL Carrier of the Year;
• RoadOne IntermodaLogistics, National Drayage Carrier of the Year;
• Asset Based Intermodal Inc., Regional Drayage Carrier of the Year;
• FedEx, Parcel Carrier of the Year; and
• M+R Spedag Group, International Carrier of the Year.
