The chairman of the board of JSC “KTZh” has been appointed
By the decision of the board of NWF Samruk-Kazyna Nurlan Sauranbayev was appointed the chairman of the board of JSC“ NC “Kazakhstan temir zholy”. Previously, he served as head of the department of state control and organizational and territorial work of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply citing information from the press service of the railway.
Over the years, Nurlan Sauranbayev worked as Deputy Minister of Defense, Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies, Akim of Shymkent. In addition, he held the position of Managing Director at NWF “Samruk-Kazyna”, worked in executive positions at JSC NC “KazMunayGas” and RSE “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy”.

The new leader graduated from the Kazakh State University. He was awarded the orders “Ormet” (2007) and “Parasat” (2013).
Joint Stock Company “National Welfare Fund“ Samruk-Kazyna” is a fund, the sole shareholder of which is the government of Kazakhstan. The fund was founded in 2008 by presidential decree and is a commercial structure – an investment holding. The fund’s assets are $ 68 billion. The group of companies includes enterprises of the oil and gas and transport and logistics sectors, the chemical and nuclear industries, the mining and metallurgical complex, and energy.
