Rail Vision: Obstacle Detection on the Railway Track

Israeli company Rail Vision has joined NVIDIA’s Metropolis partnership program, announcing its intention to develop its artificial intelligence systems based on optical sensors, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The goal of participating in the program is to promote their onboard systems capable of detecting and classifying obstacles on the railway track.

By using NVIDIA Jetson embedded modules and other components, Rail Vision expects significant acceleration of peripheral computations in its AI applications.
The certification of their Main Line onboard system according to European railway standards in January 2024 confirms the seriousness of their intentions in the railway safety market.
