Pesa forwarded to PKP 40 modernized railcars

The Polish operator of interregional passenger transportation PKP Intercity received 40 modernized railcars of 141A-20 series from the production company Pesa Bydgoszcz. Another 20 railcars are planned to be delivered in the second quarter of this year, reports railway magazine Railway Supply with a link to the website nakolei.pl

The railcars are equipped with compartments of 1st and 2nd classes. They are designed for a top speed of 160 km/h. Wi-Fi, a climate control system, USB sockets are provided for the passengers comfort.

According to the publication the total cost of the contract is almost 250 million zlotys (1.8 billion UAH).

Acceptance of the first modernized railcars was in the beginning of 2020.
