Pedestrian killed by Amtrak train: what police say?

Stonington police said they were notified at about 11:25 a.m. Saturday by Amtrak police that a pedestrian was struck by a train, according to WFSB. Meanwhile, police placed the location between the Route 1 overpass and the Prospect Street and Palmer Street railroad crossing. When crews arrived, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
