PCC Intermodal advances Ropczyce terminal plan

PCC Intermodal terminal construction plans in Ropczyce are moving ahead in south-east Poland. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The total investment value is estimated at more than PLN 369m, or around EUR 86m. Nearly PLN 148m, equivalent to approximately EUR 34m, is to come from EU funding.
PCC Intermodal terminal construction in Ropczyce
The project covers development of a 13-hectare site on Przemysłowa Street. There, the company plans to build a Ropczyce container terminal with related infrastructure. PCC Intermodal began discussions with the municipality of Ropczyce in 2016. It acquired the land that same year, according to the Ropczyce municipality.
EU funding and construction tender
On 19 February 2026, PCC Intermodal launched a construction tender. The tender sought a contractor to carry out the works. The contractor would also obtain an occupancy permit, as PCC Intermodal notes. The contract provides for completion of the works within 24 months from signature.

Location in south-east Poland
The terminal’s location is to be supported by planned road infrastructure. The new facility lies between Krakow, Tarnow and Rzeszow, around 30 west of the latter. It is also about 130 km west of the Ukrainian border.
