Pacific Surfliner World Cup Service and Reservations

All Pacific Surfliner trains will require reservations from June 11 through July 19. Passengers are encouraged to book early because match-day ridership is expected to increase. Also, tickets are available now through PacificSurfliner.com.

Meanwhile, additional late-night departures will operate from Los Angeles. They are scheduled for June 12, 13, 15, and 25. These trains will let fans stay through the final whistle and travel home that night.

In addition, later trains will leave Los Angeles Union Station on selected match days. They will travel in both directions. Southbound services will carry passengers toward San Diego. Northbound trains will serve riders heading toward Santa Barbara.

Fan Zone Stops and Los Angeles Connections

Separately, Pacific Surfliner will add a Burbank Downtown station stop. It will apply on July 18 and 19. The stop will provide direct access to the Los Angeles World Cup 26 Fan Zone. The event takes place during the tournament’s closing weekend.

Passengers can take Pacific Surfliner to Los Angeles Union Station. From there, they can transfer to LA Metro’s direct World Cup service. It serves Los Angeles Stadium. The Metro fare is $1.75 each way.

The direct service will begin up to four hours before kickoff. It will continue for 90 minutes after the final whistle. This offers fans an alternative to driving and parking.

Also, Los Angeles Union Station will host a World Cup 26 Fan Zone. It will run from June 25 through June 28. The event will operate daily from 10 AM to 9 PM. Pacific Surfliner will provide direct access.

Live screenings, watch parties, and fan activities will be accessible by train. They will be available throughout the corridor. For example, locations include areas near Anaheim and San Diego’s Santa Fe Depot. They also include Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone.

Fare Discount and Service Changes

Now through July 15, passengers can save 20% on Coach and Business Class fares. The discount applies to travel to and from Los Angeles. It is offered through a partnership with the LA Tourism and Convention Board. Passengers can book it at PacificSurfliner.com/soccer2026.

At the same time, Codeshare and Rail 2 Rail services will be suspended. The suspension applies on selected high-demand dates. The affected dates are June 11–15, 18, 21, and 25–28. They also include July 2, 10, and 18–19. Commuters and regular passengers can consult the service FAQ for further information.

Jason Jewell, Managing Director of the LOSSAN Rail Corridor Agency, said:

“This is one of the most premier events Southern California has seen in a long time, and we want every fan — whether they’re coming from San Diego, Orange County, or the Central Coast — to have a great experience from the moment they step on the train,”
