The Golden Chariot train recently reached the Madgaon Railway Station on Thursday, with international tourists flocking to the city to explore the heritage of Goa with their luxurious package from IRCTC.

The tourists from the state of Goa received the foreigners warmly and stated that occurrences of the sort will always promote sustainable tourism.
The group of foreigners consisted of 26 tourists, with some being interested in the history, particularly the churches, of North Goa, which is of Portuguese heritage.
“The partnership is an example of how high-quality tourism can be beneficial to communities,” said Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte.
“It also helps diversify the economy by spreading the number of tourists throughout the year, instead of having the crowds on the beaches,” he said, glad that the focus on the heritage side.

Golden Chariot train supports Goa’s sustainable growth
Tourism Director, Kedar Naik, said, “The coming of the Golden Chariot train confirms the international community’s interest in the culture of Goa.” Naik said the department is involved in projects that combine the conservation of heritage with the provision of good hospitality services.
After their Goan leg, the service proceed to the destination of Bengaluru. The itinerary also gives tourists the opportunity to enjoy South India’s land, people, and culture responsibly.
The plan is to increase cooperation with IRCTC, in addition to other private players, in order to attract tourists to the state of Goa throughout the year who are keen on experiencing the real side of sustainable tourism.
