On October 13, Ukrzaliznytsia announced two tenders for the reconstruction of two traction substations.

UZ plans to reconstruct traction substation in Beskydy

Both tenders were announced by the Lviv Railway. The reconstruction of the station in the village of Oporets (Beskyd) was estimated at UAH 18 million, and in Kleparov – at UAH 20 million. Both tenders were re-announced, since there were no participants in the first. This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to Prozorro.

The auctions are scheduled for November 1, and work should be completed by the end of this year. However, even if the tender is successful, the contract with the contractor will be concluded in mid-November and he will have a month and a half to work.

As a reminder, on October 8, the Donetsk Railway signed an agreement on the reconstruction of a traction substation in Seversk for UAH 23.8 million. Then, during the tender, one of the unnamed participants drew attention to the fact that the contractor has little time to work  after the victory, but UZ said that they could not extend the deadline due to the lack of a financial plan for 2022.
