Ukrzaliznytsia received about UAH 460 million in profit in 2021

This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to Mintans. According to the results of work in 2021, UZ received UAH 457 million in net profit. This was announced by the head of the board of the company Alexander Kamyshin in his Telegram.

“We calculated the financial result for 2021. According to operational data, we have a net profit of UAH 457 million,” he said.

According to him, the increase in freight traffic, an increase in the tariff for freight transportation, the distribution of wagons through auctions, savings on the purchase of electricity directly at Energoatom, and savings on all purchases made it possible to achieve profitability. Kamyshin also recalled that the company completed 2020 with UAH 11.9 billion in losses.

The first 6 months of 2021 were also in the red – UAH 1.4 billion loss.
