JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” received 15 devices for access to Starlink satellite Internet.

Ukrzaliznytsia received Starlink devices

This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to the information of the press service of UZ.

The systems were provided to the railroad workers by one of the largest IT companies in Ukraine, N-iX. It is noted that out of the total number of devices, 10 belong to the first generation and 5 to the second.

“I thank all our partners and businesses for supporting Ukrzaliznytsia during this difficult time. The railroad became the first state-owned company to use Starlink during the war. We received the first station in early March,” said Oleksandr Kamyshin, Chairman of the Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia.

He added that these systems are used for stable and reliable communication of critical systems that ensure the operation of the railway.

“We still have a lot of digitalization projects ahead of us. We and no one but us, to restore everything that was destroyed by the war. This is an opportunity to build new ultra-modern system solutions,” said the head of Ukrzaliznytsia.

Starlink is a global satellite system for Internet access in remote corners of the Earth. It operates through satellites in orbit. Such Internet provides a fast and uninterrupted connection, it cannot be disconnected or broken.
