Both increases will be applied to employees of the company, whose salaries are now below 30 thousand hryvnyas. The relevant agreements are enshrined in a joint decision on cooperation and mutual understanding, which was signed by Ivan Yurik, acting chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC; and Vadim Bubnyak, leader of the Trade Union of Railway Workers and Transport Builders of Ukraine.

An agreement was also reached to resume the five-day working week for all employees from April 2021.

In addition, from the 1st of April, all social benefits stipulated by the industry agreement and collective agreement, which were delayed due to the crisis caused by Covid-19, will be restored. They will be fully paid in several stages by the end of June 2021.

In addition, next month the amount of daily expenses within Ukraine for railway workers will be increased by 25%.

The management of Ukrzaliznytsia hopes that, for their part, the trade unions will support the policy of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” and help to jointly defend particularly acute issues before the relevant state authorities: unification of tariffs for freight transportation, exemption from land tax and excise tax on diesel fuel, reduction of dividends to the state budget, etc.
