Three more Smartron locomotives launched in Bulgaria
Since February 11 three new Smartron locomotives have been involved into passenger transportation to various cities in Bulgaria, reports railway magazine Railway Supply citing information from the Bulgarian Railways.

The locomotives are traditionally named after the rulers of Bulgaria – Khan Krum, Khan Omurtag and Khan Presian.
Bulgarian Railways already has three such locomotives, operating on the routes from Sofia with Burgas, Varna and Svilengrad.
A total of 15 locomotives are expected to be delivered by the end of the year in accordance with the contract signed with DZZD Siemens Tron.
