Two diesel locomotives of the TEM9 and TEM14 series are to be delivered by the end of this year. поставку тепловозов

The TEM9 locomotive was handed over to the customer (Gazpromtrans) on October 26, and according to the terms of the second contract, the TEM14 shunting locomotive will be handed over to the operating organization in November 2021.

The production of diesel locomotives is carried out by the Lyudinovo Diesel Locomotive Plant (LTZ), which is part of the STM holding, informs Railway Supply magazine with reference to STM.

“We continue to develop and expand our strategic partnership with the leader in the oil and gas industry. Our machines help Gazpromtrans enterprises achieve production goals in various regions of the country, ”said Anton Zubikhin, General Director of the STM Trading House.

In 2021, Gazpromtrans ordered a powerful two-diesel shunting locomotive TEM14. Both companies are considering moving to comprehensive long-term contracts for the supply of locomotives, spare parts and after-sales services.

Currently, Gazpromtrans already has in its locomotive fleet a number of STM vehicles, which include 38 units of TEM7 and TEM7A diesel locomotives and 10 units of TEM9 diesel locomotives. TEM9 is a 882 kW (1200 hp) diesel locomotive with an electric transmission and an independent wheelset drive, designed for shunting operations on a 1520 mm track gauge rail network.

Its competitive advantage is its minimal turning radius (50 meters). The two-diesel single-section locomotive TEM14 with a capacity of 1,764 kW (2,400 hp) is designed for heavy shunting operations on railways and industrial enterprises. Due to the two-diesel concept, the locomotive has the maximum power for a locomotive of this class.

The intelligent control system of the two-diesel plant allows using only one engine at low traction and automatically starting the second diesel when it increases.
