Rail Baltica has announced tender contracts for a 53-kilometer railway mainline in Estonia

The total value of the published tenders is approximately 400 million euros, with a contract duration of 40-48 months, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The contracts involve the construction of five sections of the mainline in Harju and Rapla counties, including Soodevahe to Kangru, Kangru to Saku, Saku to the Harju/Rapla county border, Hagudi to Allu, and Allu to Kerpla.

Rail Baltica estimates the overall cost of the published tenders to be around 400 million euros (438 million US dollars), with an expected contract duration of 40-48 months.
Construction of the initial sections of the mainline is planned to commence by the second quarter of 2024.
Additionally, within the year, construction is scheduled to begin on a 74-kilometer section of the Estonian route of Rail Baltica, covering over a third of the entire length of the Estonian mainline.
