The delegation of the Swiss company was headed by the chairman of the board of directors, co-owner of the Stadler Rail AG group, Peter Spuler.

According to UNIAN, during the meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted the importance of attracting foreign technologies and capital to their implementation. He also said that “the Ukrainian side is interested in the development of metro lines in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, as well as in the development of communication by train and high-speed tram in different cities.”

The head of state emphasized that Ukraine has its own manufacturers of railway rolling stock, therefore, an important condition for cooperation with foreign companies is the maximum localization of production.

Peter Spuler expressed interest in the company’s work in the Ukrainian market and in the creation of joint production facilities with Ukrainian partners.

Stadler Rail AG is one of the world leaders in the production of regional trains and other rolling stock. One of the company’s production facilities is located in Belarus, where several dozen Stadler trains are already in operation.
