Poland Railway Day!

In Poland, the Railway Day (Polish: Święto Kolejarza) is celebrated annually on November 25, on the day of remembrance of the The Great Martyr Saint Catherine of Alexandria, the patroness of Polish railroad workers.

Święto Kolejarza

Celebrating Railway Day is a tradition dating back to the XIX century. There are a lot of competitions and presentations of modern and historical rolling stock held on this day.

There is also a Pilgrimage of railway workers to Jasna Gora in Czestochowa (held since 1984) inseparably associated with the celebration of the Railway Day in Poland.

Z okazji Święto Kolejarza składamy wszystkim pracownikom kolei i ich rodzinom Najserdeczniejsze Życzenia!
