Multimodal terminal to be built in Reni Port

Developer Reni Terminal LLC has been granted preliminary permission from the city council to build a multimodal terminal at Reni sea port, Railway Supply magazine reports citing Rail.insider.
According to the press service of the Reni City Council, during the meeting on March 22, its members approved the decision to grant a permit for development of land plot allotment project with further renting for 49 years for construction and placement of multimodal terminal. The facility is planned to be located in the city of Reni, Izmail district, Odessa region, but outside the settlement.

In his turn, a representative of the company stressed that the construction of the new terminal opens up opportunities for creating new jobs and attracting investment to the community.
It is noted that in November 2022, the Viking Alliance container terminal, the only container terminal in Ukraine to operate after the Russian military invasion in February, started operating in the Reni sea port. It handled almost 1,500 containers a month.
