Multimillion-dollar lawsuits against a Russian rolling stock manufacturer
Moscow Metro has filed a claim for more than 407 million rubles against the rolling stock manufacturer – JSC Metrovagonmash, as the railway magazine «Railway Supply» reports citingна IА REGNUM.
On 23 November 2020, a claim was filed in the amount of 407 972 520,81 rubles. IA REGNUM informs that at the beginning of September, the same State Unitary Enterprise demanded a penalty in the amount of 16 291 291,8 rubles. This dispute is considered on 1st of December.
In addition, in July 2020, the state-owned Moscow Metro filed two claims at once – for 1.7 million rubles and for 1.8 million rubles. In the last case, which will be considered on December 2, we are talking about the recovery of a penalty under the contract “dated December 25, 2014 for the acquisition and provision of maintenance of metro cars with the obligation to ensure their service during the life cycle.”
