The cost of design work is more than PLN 2.9 million. Construction of the facility is scheduled for 2023/2024. The start of operation is scheduled for the 3rd quarter of 2025. The venture was made possible by an injection of capital from the subsidiaries of PLK SA.
The area of the service center will be 11.5 thousand square meters – about 150 meters long and 75 meters wide. This will allow you to place five tracks inside the hall. Four of them will be used for inspections and service repairs. The fifth track will be technological, it will house a train wash, a pre-painting booth and a spray booth. The center will be equipped with photovoltaic panels and heat pumps.
The investment is directly related to the consistently expanding machine park of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA Capital Group, which requires specialized service stations due to innovative equipment. A modern service center will increase the scale of commercial repair of equipment, while ensuring the highest quality of services.
