Greenbrier has increased its order book by $580m

Greenbrier Group (USA) announced preliminary results for the second quarter of its fiscal year. The order book is backed by 4,500 new railcars with a total value of $580 million. This is less than in the first quarter, when the company’s orders reached 5,600 wagons. Railway Supply magazine wrote this, citing zdmira.
The orders are for tank cars, car carriers, multipurpose covered wagons and also for covered hopper wagons. Greenbrier delivered 7,200 units of rolling stock to customers in the second quarter, with sales revenues estimated at $1.1 billion.
Greenbrier will release its final results for the second quarter on April 10, 2023.
