Frantisek Buresh, an ex-board member of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC, wrote on his Facebook page what he did while working in Ukrzaliznytsia.

According to the railway magazine Railway Supply, he also gave a list of ongoing and launched projects.

“First and foremost, together with the team we developed the main document on the traction stock of UZ – the Concept (forecast) of work with the Ukrzaliznytsia locomotive fleet until 2033,” said the former UZ board member.

He said that they began the process of unbundling the company to identify four verticals of the future holding: cargo, passenger, production and infrastructure.

Prepared a basic document on the reorganization of the repair facilities of the plants.

Together with the French machine builder Alstom, we worked out an intergovernmental project for the purchase of new electric locomotives with 35% localization in Ukraine.

“We launched a private traction project, observing all the necessary European standards. We have prepared a reform for the development of UZ wagon facilities and released trial lots of new freight cars, stressed Frantisek Bures – We launched the repair of Skoda high-speed trains, organized and set up the production of brake pads at one of the locomotive factories, found a solution and launched projects to correct the situation with a shortage of locomotives. “
