The forces withdrawn by the Russian Federation from the North of Ukraine are being transferred to the Donbass. This conclusion was reached in the edition of the Conflict Intelligence Team.

Echelons of Russian troops

The report notes that on April 2, a train with landing equipment (BMD-2) was filmed in Belarus. In the echelon there may be vehicles from the airborne units or formations that participated in the battles on the territory of the Kyiv region – the 76th airborne assault division, the 98th airborne division or the 31st airborne assault brigade.

According to the Russian Railways database, the train goes to the Novy Oskol station in the Belgorod region, not far from the border with the occupied part of the Kharkiv region of Ukraine, reports Railway Supply magazine.

A train with the T-72B3, which departed from Yelnya, where the 59th tank regiment of the 144th motorized division is stationed, is heading to the nearby Valuyki station.

Also, before the invasion, there was equipment of the 41st combined arms army of the Central Military District. Perhaps these tanks did not participate in the invasion due to malfunctions, but now they have been repaired.

“Arrived equipment will most likely go south through Kupyansk and Izyum, recently taken by Russian troops, in the direction of Slavyansk, Donetsk region. The transfer of both withdrawn and, possibly, previously unused vehicles means that the Russian command is serious, and that in the coming days the battle for Donbass will only flare up,” the Conflict Intelligence Team summarized.
