Deutsche Plasser merges with Robel service business
Deutsche Plasser Bahnbaumaschinen GmbH has been merged with the Robel Service & Customer Service business unit to form Plasser Robel Services GmbH from 1 January 2022.
This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply . The joint venture becomes the largest service organization in the Plasser & Theurer group.
It will provide ongoing support and service for rail vehicles and machines supplied by Robel worldwide and Plasser & Theurer in selected markets, acting as the first point of contact for service customers for both brands.
PRS is part of Robel Holding GmbH and five other subsidiaries: Robel Bahnbaumaschinen, Robel France, Robel North America Corp, Robel Railway Engineering Technology (Shanghai), Vogel & Plötscher and Schweerbau International.
Legal continuity is ensured by the renaming of Deutsche Plasser Bahnbaumaschinen to Plasser Robel Services; the headquarters of the service company will be located in Munich.
Karl Oberreiter, former Managing Director of Deutsche Plasser and Head of Robel Service Division, will manage the combined organization, which employs a total of 250 people in three locations in Munich, Opladen and Freilassing.
