China Railway Express has launched a China-Europe rail freight hub at a logistics site in Shenyang Puhe. Railway Supply writes about this with reference to the Railway Gazette.

The first train with 55 containers of automotive parts, electrical and mechanical products, and medical equipment left the hub on March 4. The Shenyang municipality said the terminal could handle more than 1,000 trains a year. He added that the facility is “a national first-class rail freight hub” and one of 18 rail container hubs in China.

At the opening ceremony, Wang Xinwei, secretary of the CPC Municipal Committee, said, “We need to make full use of the hub to build a first-class international land port as well as an important land-sea terminal in northeast China.”
