The Sofia Metro operator, EAD, has announced a tender worth €71.6 million for the supply of 8 trains, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The rolling stock must have automation. The trains will be intended for operation on lines 1, 2, and 4.

Last year, contracts for the supply of 16 metro trains to the Bulgarian capital were awarded to Skoda Group and a consortium of Siemens Mobility and Newag.
