The People’s Deputy learned about this from the response to the request, which he sent to the MIU, reports the railway magazine Railway Supply .

Infrastructure Minister Alexander Kubrakov said that in the future localization could grow up to 50%. Another news – French are considering ZERZ (Zaporozhye Electric Locomotive Repair Plant) as a base site.

Alstom expects to conclude an agreement on the supply of 130 locomotives by the end of the year

We will remind, on July 1, Verkhovna Rada ratified the Agreements between the governments of Ukraine and France for a total of 1 billion 300 million euros.

Among them is the agreement on the purchase of Alstom electric locomotives. The agreement provides for the delivery of 130 Alstom electric locomotives, 80 two-system, 50 single-system machines.

The cost of the project is 882.5 million euros. The contract is expected to create up to 7,000 new jobs.
