In February 2020, they signed a contract with the Russian machine-building company Transmashholding (TMH). According to the contract National Railway Carrier of Kazakhstan will receive 100 new railcars by the end of the year. The railcars will be assembled at the Tulpar plant according to the technology of the Tver Wagon Building Plant (part of the TMH structure).

“Other export programs are also being carried out. In 2020, we delivered 10 shunting and freight diesel locomotives to Mongolia, 4 freight diesel locomotives and 5 freight electric locomotives to Uzbekistan, 20 metro wagons to Azerbaijan and more than 100 railcars to Kazakhstan. All of these contracts were executed without changing their terms. Also, the pandemic did not prevent the development of TMH international projects. This year we activated the option of a contract with the Sofia Metro for the modernization of metro wagons with a total volume of up to 40 units, signed a large contract in Germany for servicing 78 Siemens and Stadler electric trains, began implementing a contract with Egypt for the supply of 1300 passenger railcars, signed an agreement for the repair of 194 and modernization of 209 railcars of the Hungarian passenger carrier MAV-Start and many others, ” said Andrey PEKANOV, head of the department for development and control of the sales system of Transmashholding JSC
